Please go to our photo album site and look in March 2010 Newsletter for details Hi everyone!
We had our Remembrance Day Cricket Game after the lunch on the 8th November 2009. Unfortunately we only had a small turnout of 9 children/youth and 8 adults. Regardless of the turnout, an enjoyable afternoon was had by all who participated and the weather was perfect! Due to the small numbers and some young children participating, a round of good old fashioned Australian ‘backyard cricket’ was played….. and the best part of the afternoon was seeing the kids have so much fun!!!
There are more events being organised (see below) especially the big games day planned for after the February lunch. The success of these and other events depend on you. We hope and encourage you to give us more support! Please participate.
· ‘New Years Games Day’ – “Eurasianlympics”. To commence after the February lunch. A series of competitive games will be organised both outdoor and indoor. All members are welcome. Please form teams of 5 people among friends or family some of which MUST include younger members. Games likely to be played are ‘rounders’, ‘chapteh’, ‘hop scotch’, ‘badminton’ and soccer. Rules to follow. Please let me know your teams at the December lunch if possible.
· Christmas carolling - I am looking for members (particularly our younger members) to join me in a sing a long at the December lunch.
· Talentime / Musical Soiree – Planned for March lunch. Calling for expressions of interest. We want you, our members, especially our younger members to show off your musical/artistic talents. Prizes will be awarded to all participants with major prizes for top performers.
If you can help with the organising, please call me on 0402 113 987 your assistance will really be appreciated.

Aimed mainly at our younger members but being a team competition, all members are welcome. Caitlin De Souza, Jaz Cappeau, Shoshanna Beins, Peter De Mello, Chad Beins Jnr and Jermaine Beins danced flawlessly to the wonderful Portuguese folk song and dance ‘Cama Sha’, a dance for lovers.
